Liz Angel​

Liz is a psychologist and registered nurse with years of experience working within health and aged care. She has a particular interest working with older adults and people experiencing chronic illness and/or disability as well as individuals affected by mild cognitive change. Liz treats all common psychological disorders (e.g. Depression; Anxiety and Panic; Stress) as well as bereavement, relational, and phase of life problems. She offers a practical and passionate approach within a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) framework that inspires people to make long-lasting change in their lives and find renewed joy in living.

Leeanne Lightfoot​

Leeanne Lightfoot is a Mental Health Social Worker (Accredited) with 16+ years professional experience in both government and non-government services in the inner city of Sydney. She is currently in private practice (6 years) delivering counselling services under PSS and Better Access Medicare Scheme.

Specific areas of interest are working with young people and adults who have a lived experience of trauma, and working with issues related to PND, depression, anxiety, life development issues, grief and loss, workplace issues.

Karen Doherty​

I am an accredited mental health social worker registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers and a Director of Lilly Pilly Counselling Incorporated. I have over 20 years experience working with children, young people and adults with a wide range of issues. I have knowledge and experience working with mental health issues, sexual abuse, trauma, child abuse and neglect and therapeutic counselling.

I have a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work from Sydney University and have completed post graduate training and workshops in child and adolescent mental health, peri natal metal health, narrative therapy and CBT.

Julieanne Lowe​

Julieanne is a registered Psychologist with a warm, open and collaborative style. She adopts a client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring her approach to suit the needs, pace, and presentation of those she works with.

She believes that everyone can grow, and is passionate about utilising individuals’ unique strengths and values to help her clients achieve their goals. Julieanne strives to create a safe and open space for those she works with, where individuals and families can explore what they want, set goals, and work towards these goals at their own set pace.

It is important to Julieanne that her clients walk away from sessions feeling heard, safe, and respected. Likening the therapeutic relationship to a partnership, Julieanne works collaboratively ‘with’ her clients to support them to support themselves.

Jonathan Derkenne​

Jonathan Derkenne is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has experience supporting young people, adults and families through Community Mental Health Services, Acute Care, Child Protection / Housing Support in Sydney and London.

Working collaboratively, clients will gain insight into how their past is impacting upon their present. Drawing from and being made aware of clients strengths, the therapeutic process will empower the client to take greater control of their life and help improve awareness and coping strategies.

Jonathan works from a strengths, trauma informed, solution focused approach with Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) underpinning his therapeutic work.

Johnny Kieran​-Black

Johnny is a qualified Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) Practitioner. CAT is a mode of psychotherapy that looks at the way people think, feel and act, and the events and relationships that underlie these experiences. Through this therapy modality, Johnny helps clients make links between how past relationships with others have impacted on the way they relate to their sense of self. In addition to CAT, Johnny has trained in Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, Open Dialogue and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Johnny is very experienced and passionate in working with trauma, grief and loss, survivors of childhood abuse, alcohol and substance problems, self-harm and relationship difficulties. He has assessment skills and knowledge in identifying and working with depression, anxiety, psychotic and bipolar spectrum disorders.

Jenna McKenzie​

Jenna is a Registered Psychologist and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Jenna has extensive experience providing psychological and counselling services to adults and adolescents. Jenna is passionate about helping her clients to overcome stressors in their lives, and believes that one of the most effective vehicles of change is the therapeutic relationship.

Jenna has worked with clients who have been impacted by trauma both in childhood and more recently. This has included clients impacted by both complex and single event traumas.

Jenna has experience in supporting people who are processing grief and loss, major life changes or stressors, relationship transitions, anxiety, panic disorder, depression and post-natal anxiety and depression. Jenna also provides social skills training, and treatment for social anxiety.

Jenna has supported her clients to effect positive change in their lives. She is always inspired by the positive outcomes that clients have made when their goals have been achieved

Holly Smith​

Holly Smith is an accredited mental health Social Worker with over 17 years of clinical experience in private, government, forensic and health sectors. She is passionate about working holistically with clients and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

Holly uses a flexible and supportive client-based approach to create a safe environment for clients to explore their issues. She is able to provide counselling and therapy to adults, adolescents and children who have experienced a broad range of personal challenges and concerns including: Posttraumatic stress; childhood trauma; grief and loss; suicide bereavement; refugee trauma and settlement issues; mental health issues; anxiety and depression.

Holly will work with her clients to enhance their strengths and develop insight and coping strategies to help navigate the difficulties they are experiencing. She uses various counselling approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Complicated Grief Therapy, Psychoeducation and Strengths Based approach.

Haete Weiner​

I am an accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years of experience counselling clients who have experienced complex trauma, sexual assault, domestic family violence and childhood trauma. I am particularly committed to working within a trauma informed approach to assist to regain power and safety in your lives. I have an in depth understanding of social justice issues in Australia and how they impact on our sense of wellness. I use a blend of modalities to suit each client and am guided by the principles of somatic, strength based, systems and narrative approaches.
